Does anyone on this tribe know if a site has been chosen for this year's Highland's War in Flagstaff, Arizona? The only website I know of is www.highlandswar.org and no site is mentioned yet.
Many thanks,
Leah

Re: Highland's War
Sat, May 31, 2008 - 1:06 PMAccording to the Aten Yahoo group, there are 3 sites in mind, and the barony is just finalizing. Once a site has been made official, it'll be posted on the highlands website and in the Southwind.
After last year's moves and eventual cancellation, I can understand the barony being a little hesitant to declare a location two months out. -

Re: Highland's War
Sat, May 31, 2008 - 1:42 PMUnfortunately because they waited so long to give details, our household will most likely not make it to what has always been our favorite war. After last year we were so so dissappointed that we have tried since Jan to get any info from anyone up there and have not so we made alternate plans for the summer :( (we all have day jobs and have to schedule vacation time in advance)We are all hoping they will find a new location that will be set for years to come as we look so forward to escaping the heat.
If anyone from Ered is on here please keep us up to date!! -

Sat, May 31, 2008 - 4:27 PMWolfette,
I'm worried about the same thing happening with our household too. We totally LOVE Highland's War but if the location is going to be hard to get to or awkward, people may opt not to go. I just saw the June Southwind and some site info is mentioned but NOT the location. IMHO, keeping the location "secret" is not in the best interest of the populace trying to make plans to attend.
