Re: Camping Chairs
Wed, January 21, 2009 - 8:19 AMThose seem rather reasonable to me, and look really good!
I don't suppose you plan to branch out to tables? A good table design always seems to be popular. -

Re: Camping Chairs
Wed, January 21, 2009 - 9:17 AMAbsolutely, tables are the next on the drawing board. In your opinion, would a breakdown table be the way to go or would a swing down fold up table be the way to go?
My goal is to continue with the design concept that my company filed a patent on for our sleighs and use this for affordable, easy to transport SCA furniture. using the notch system to put together instead of hardware or pegs. Is it period? No. Does it look period? I think so. It certainly looks better than an aluminum fold up chair. At least in my opinion. I think that I'll go back and amend the listing so that it includes a carrying case. Eventually we'll sell these finished as well. -

Re: Camping Chairs
Thu, January 22, 2009 - 4:57 PMHonestly, I have investigated both styles. For me - As long as the table either folds or disassembles into a relatively
flat transport size, it's a moot point. Both will have some pegs or pins involved, so other than the hinges it should be
fairly similar to assemble.
I have a plan in mind to make one of the 2 styles...Unless you market one fairly soon :) But, I have a bed to build first.

Fri, January 23, 2009 - 9:53 AMThe price is just low enough to keep people from making this for themselves. ;)

Re: Camping Chairs
Fri, January 23, 2009 - 9:12 PMWow, with free shipping, too?
And would you be able to make them a little wider, for those of us who wear farthingales, or are naturally wider? If so, how much extra for such? -

Re: Camping Chairs
Sat, January 24, 2009 - 7:17 PMI can and will make these chairs in larger size. As of initial cost calculations the larger chairs would be $85 instead of $65. I'm still working on dimensions, trying to get the design just right. As soon as I have those hammered out I'll post here. Suggestions on dimensions for larger size is always appreciated. -

Fri, February 27, 2009 - 4:23 PMSpeaking of larger size... what are the weight capacities. I'm a big guy, need a sturdy seat. -

Re: Camping Chairs
Sun, March 1, 2009 - 7:31 PMThe larger chairs were designed for a friend of mine who I would say is between 200-250.
