Good SCA Fighting Helmets?

I am looking for an armorer who makes medium priced but good quality SCA helmets.

    Well, I can definitely tell you it's NOT Icefalcon. We've got a rather expensive bit of helming gathering dust on a shelf right now. : (

      A lot of people like Icefalcon's stuff. Why didn't it work for you, if I may ask?
      (Don't own his stuff, too pricey for me, just curious)

        I believe that his Graces helms are high quality and built like tanks, however there is just something about the lines of them that are just off. Just my opinion, I have never heard any negative comments about his business practices and he has a stellar reputation on the Armor Archive. I know cost is a barrier for many people who have considered his wares.

    Well, let me ask...

    1) Do you have a particular time period / culture in mind?
    2) What do you consider "Medium price?"

    In my opinion, the ONE piece of armor you should be afraid to spend a bit extra cash on is the part protecting your brain from thugs with sticks. Looks for stainless steel (14g, 12g is better).
